The World: The Domain
Northwest of Linlishlin lies a harsh, barren land known as the Domain. These lands are ruled by dragons, and the manling population lives in strict subservience to the Dragon Queen and her representative, the Pontefactor. The Dragon Queen rules from the Eyrie, a mountain rivalling the size of Maugeter's Mount Tannair.
Most of the civilised population of the Domain live in the city of Jarkod, just south of the Eyrie. Here the Pontefactor and his Dragon Priests keep order amongst the hardy subjects of the state. In times past the dragons terrorised the residents, but the clergy keeps order with an oppressive system of tithes and tributes. The population tolerate this, knowing that the alternative is far worse.
