The World: Jarkod
Jarkod is the heart of the Badlands, the rocky plains region to the north of Linlishlin. The rough environment is harsh and not best suited for humanoids, and the majority of the population are dwarves, orcs and other hardy races. The dominant religion in Jarkod is the worship of the Dragon Queen who occupies the nearby mountain. In times past the dragons terrorised the humanoid residents, but now the extensive ranks of Dragon Priests keep the peace with an extensive system of tithes and tributes.
Exactly why the hardy residents of this inhospitable area remain where they are rather than migrating south into the lusher Barl Plains of Kingdom of Linlishlin is unknown.
