The fortress-city of Ristinnol stands on the only crossing over the Hetarine Gorge that divides the farmland from the wasteland beyond. Towering sixty-foot walls protect the city in the event of attack. Three orders of Paladins serve as officers in the Ristinollian Army, and the Grandmaster of the orders rules the city and the surrounding farmland.
The Order of the Falcon serve Avaras, God of Honour and Valour. Wearing red accents, and proudly displaying their emblem of the Falcon's head, they serve as the mightiest leaders times of war, and the most holy champions of good in the lands to the west.
The Order of Law serve the stern Lady Justice, Goddess of their creed. Their armour is tinted with black, and their symbol is the downturned sword. Knights of Law are heavily trained in the investigative arts, and see it as their duty to maintain both the existence and the purity of law. Though many see them as dangerous, oppressive zealots, the misplaced hand of law (as is often the case in Maugeter) is perhaps more offensive to them than any other.
The Order of Peace serve Telial, God of Healing. Knights of Peace wear white, when they wear their armour at all, and their symbol is a simple white chevron. Exemplifying the role of paladin as healer, every Knight of Peace is nevertheless a warrior, and would never hesitate to defend those they have sworn to protect.
